Pré de Pascal (1.912 m.)
In 1959, the Pré de Pascal used to be an "alpeggio"
belonging to the Scalvinos, where, every summer, grandfather
Davide went to put his cows out to pasture. |

In 1970, the arrival at
Courmayeur of Mister Savoretti, who decided to exploit
the area of the Veny Valley by building a cableway, represented
a turning point for the locals. The courage and the determination
of Jolanda and Carletto Scalvino would transformed the
old "alpeggio" into a prestigious restaurant
which is still managed by the Scalvinos. The Pré
de Pascal has been inaugurated in 1972. |
